Comparative Study Shows Owning an Electric Car Is More Cost-Effective Than Gasoline Vehicles

“Electric Cars Cheaper to Recharge Than Gasoline Vehicles, Study Finds”

A recent study conducted by the comparative site Verivox has revealed that owning an electric car is much more cost-effective than driving a gasoline vehicle. The study compared the cost of recharging electric cars at home versus refueling gasoline and diesel vehicles at authorized centers, and the results were surprising.

According to the study, the cost of recharging electric cars at home is, on average, 46% lower than refueling gasoline vehicles, and 38% lower than refueling diesel vehicles. The study also took into account the annual mileage limit of 12 thousand kilometers and the average price of electricity for households in the United States, which is $0.15 per kilowatt hour.

The study found that the average annual cost of recharging an electric car at home is $972 USD, resulting in a cost of $8.29 USD per 100 kilometers. However, the cost increases when electric car owners charge their vehicles at public stations, with a normal full load costing $0.56 USD per 100 kilometers, and fast charging stations costing $0.68 USD per kilowatt hour, resulting in a cost of $11.38 USD per 100 kilometers.

In comparison, the study revealed that the cost of refueling a gasoline vehicle amounts to $1,771 USD for the entire year, at an average price per liter of $1,999.55 USD. The costs of refueling a diesel vehicle are slightly lower, with an average value of $1,584 USD for the year.

The study concluded that, based on their findings, owning an electric car is much more profitable than driving a gasoline vehicle. With the cost of recharging significantly lower than refueling, it’s clear that electric cars offer a more economical option for drivers.
