The law on housing leases, law 431/1998, provides for different types of contracts. The first of this concerns the so-called “free” contracts, that is contracts for which the parties can define all the clauses in full freedom, with the only obligation to respect the minimum deadline established by the law which is, in fact, that of four years with mandatory renewal at the first expiration of another four years, without being able to modify the initial calusoles.
