The narrative that Kretinsky’s group of companies can help Thyssenkrupp with its energy experience is also very popular. Kretinsky companies like LEAG are not yet producing the green electricity, let alone the hydrogen, that Thyssenkrupp needs. And it is completely unclear whether, once the capacity exists at some point, it will be sold to the Duisburg-based company particularly cheaply. Yes, of course, it can complement each other somehow. And the energy experience won’t hurt either. But the fact that two people who necessarily belong together come together here is a myth.
