Diverse Offerings Highlighted at New York Auto Show Despite Slow EV Demand Growth

The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is currently underway at the Jacobs Javits Convention Center, showcasing new models powered by internal combustion engines that will hit the market this year. Despite the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), gasoline vehicles continue to dominate the market in the United States.

The exhibition, which runs until April 7, highlights the commitment of the world‘s leading automakers to maintain a diverse offering in their portfolios. Hyundai’s vice president, Pablo Martínez, emphasized the importance of developing the necessary charging infrastructure for EVs before fully transitioning to electric vehicles.

One of the standout vehicles at the show is the new and redesigned Hyundai Tucson 2025, available in gasoline, hybrid, or plug-in hybrid versions. The Tucson offers improved technology and connectivity features to meet consumer demands.

Hyundai also unveiled an enhanced version of the 2025 Santa Cruz, catering to sports and adventure vehicle enthusiasts with its robust appearance and powerful engine options.

Additionally, Genesis introduced the Nuleon Concept, a luxurious full-size SUV, while Kia presented the highly anticipated K4 2025 compact sedan with advanced features and ample interior space.

Nissan showcased the Kicks 2025 with urban-inspired design and impressive interior technology, while Infiniti shone with the launch of the QX80 2025, featuring a powerful twin-turbo engine and luxurious handcrafted details in the cabin.

El Nuevo Día is covering the NYIAS as part of a subsidized day for journalists by Hyundai, providing exclusive insights into the latest developments in the automotive industry.
