El Dorado International Airport Named One of the Best in South America by World Airport Awards

El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia, has been named one of the best airports in South America according to the prestigious World Airport Awards. The ranking, which serves as a quality benchmark for the global airport industry, is based on a customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax, a leading aviation research firm.

Since the inception of the World Airport Awards in 1999, Skytrax has been evaluating customer service and facilities at over 500 airports worldwide. More than 100 nationalities participated in the latest survey, which included feedback from travelers from around the world.

El Dorado International Airport, one of the 100 busiest airports in the world, underwent a major renovation project that was completed in December 2017. The airport, located 15 kilometers west of Bogotá’s city center, serves as an important gateway for trade in Latin America. It boasts a 1,700-acre runway, the third largest in the world.

In the global ranking, Doha’s Hamad International Airport took the number one spot, followed by Singapore Changi Airport and Seoul Incheon Airport. El Dorado International Airport’s inclusion in the list of top airports in South America is a testament to its strong performance in the customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax.

The recognition of El Dorado International Airport highlights Colombia’s growing presence in the aviation industry and its commitment to providing a world-class travel experience for passengers. With its modern facilities and efficient operations, the airport continues to set the standard for excellence in South America and beyond.
