Cuban Telecommunications Company ETECSA Reports Network Instability and Slow Internet Access

The Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) in Cuba has reported instability in the network and slow Internet access due to scheduled maintenance. The maintenance actions are being carried out at sites where national service platforms are located, causing slowness in Internet access, effects on mobile telephone voice service, and payment services through TransfermĆ³vil. The situation may extend into the morning, and customers are encouraged to contact official customer service channels with any questions.

ETECSA has apologized for any inconvenience caused by the maintenance and reiterated that the maintenance works are essential to preserve the operation of telecommunications services. This is not the first time ETECSA has conducted maintenance in Cuba, as less than a week ago, they announced similar maintenance and reported fixes to the fiber optics, causing slowness in Internet access and mobile phone voice service.

Despite the maintenance, ETECSA continues to offer services such as the Modem and promotes online payments for telephone bills, with various options for customers to find out the amount of their invoice. The company is also promoting the Electronic bill, which customers can request via email and receive automatically if they are users of Home bulls.

As of now, ETECSA technicians are working to complete the scheduled maintenance and restore the network to its usual performance. Customers are advised to subscribe to notifications for updates on the situation.
