The Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Mysganu Arega discussed the situation in a number of hot spots on the African continent, as well as in the Middle East. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifying that the Ethiopian minister is visiting Moscow to participate in a meeting on the Brics alliance.
“The confidential exchange of views on the current international agenda focused, among other things, on the situation in the zone of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as in a number of hot spots on the African continent,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a note.
During the conversation it was also possible to discuss a number of issues regarding further strengthening of the multifaceted, mutually beneficial Russian-Ethiopian cooperation. The parties confirmed their commitment to deepening political dialogue and close coordination of approaches within the United Nations and BRICS countries, in light of the Russian presidency of this association.
