MILANO – Results increase EssilorLuxottica and the prize for all also increases 20 thousand Italian employees, among offices, shops and factories, of the company founded by Leonardo Del Vecchio. The 2023 performance bonus has in fact reached a gross value of 36.3 million of Euro, growing by 14% compared to that of 2022.


The trade union representatives of Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, Uiltec Uil they let the employees know that, after the achievement of some objectives, according to the consolidated group financial statements and sustainability indicators, the incentive can arrive up to 4,100 euros gross and exceed 4,400 euros grossi, if the employee chooses to convert the amount in welfare goods and services.

More rewards and more flexibility on timetables too

The monetary incentive is added to that on quality of life and the introduction of the short week, which Essilux cleared customs, on a voluntary basis, on November 30th.

“With this performance award, the most important in value we have ever provided– explains Piergiorgio Angeli, chief people officer of the lens and frame giant – we once again recognize the essential contribution of our workers to the growth and success of the company. In this development path focused on people and their needs, the quality of our industrial relations in Italy allows us to experiment with new paths and innovations to interpret the continuous evolution of the meaning of work”.

Among these, as mentioned at the end of November, there was the agreement on the short week, which among other things had allowed the group to stabilize 1,500 people indefinitely. The solution, signed with the unions, provided for greater flexibility for the employees who joined, with the possibility of having 20 working days available (mainly on Fridays) to better accommodate family work rhythms, and without prejudice to salary.
