Pfizer’s announcement regarding its easy-to-administer Covid-19 pill is still on the market today and is capable of reducing hospitalizations and deaths by 89%. Attention is drawn to the very optimistic words of Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former FDA and current member of Pfizer’s board, that the pandemic could end in the United States coinciding with the start of the mandate for workplace vaccines announced by the President Biden and which will take effect in early January.
The former Food and Drug Administration commissioner told CNBC he believes the coronavirus pandemic is nearing its end in the United States. “The end of the pandemic, at least as far as the United States is concerned, is in sight right now, given all the tools we have to fight this disease,” said Gottlieb, also referring to the arrival of Pfizer’s Covid pill.
The Biden administration this week announced that January 4 will be the deadline for large companies (over 100 employees) to adhere to its vaccine mandate or take regular tests for the virus.
