GeoPost / DPDgroup has announced record annual results, with a 14.8% increase in revenues, over 2 billion packages delivered worldwide and an operating profit that for the first time in its history exceeds one billion euros.
In a context still under the effects of the global health crisis, which in turn is the engine of the strong growth dynamics of e-commerce, GeoPost / DPDgroup has committed all its resources to support the rebound in economic activity around the world.
In 2021 the company launched the “Together & Beyond” strategic plan, with the aim of making GeoPost / DPDgroup the international reference in sustainable delivery and one of the main promoters of the acceleration of e-commerce.
Building on the momentum of 2020, GeoPost / DPDgroup also achieved solid operational and financial results in 2021.
The company has consolidated its development in key segments, giving continuity to the international expansion path: 14.7 billion euros in revenues, equal to a growth of 14.8% compared to 2020, already a record year; operating profit of more than 1 billion euros (1.057 billion euros), up 25% compared to 20201; 2.1 billion packages delivered worldwide, equal to 8.4 million per day; on Cyber Monday in November 2021, with 12.2 million parcels handled in Europe (+ 2% compared to 2020) GeoPost / DPDgroup broke its record of daily volumes; the company’s position in Europe and internationally strengthened, with the acquisition of control of Speedy AD in Bulgaria and DPD Romania and the acquisition of TIPSA in Spain, as well as with the increase of the shareholding in Ninja Van (Southeast Asia ) and the entry into Aramex (Middle East) with an equity investment.
