Healthcare, new CT equipment only in 2026. The Pnrr and all the obstacles
The public health Italian economy is increasingly in difficulty, the cuts decided by the government in the latest financial maneuver have worsened an already very serious situation, mainly due to the lack of doctors and at obsolete structures. To make matters worse – we read in Il Sole 24 Ore – a new decision from the government arrives, as part of the Pnrr fund plan. Italian hospitals “will have to wait until 2026 to exploit new diagnostic technologies come Tac e resonances latest generation magnetic devices, linear accelerators or digital ultrasound machines in which the Pnrr invests as much as 1.2 billion”. The postponement is due to the revision of the plan, an agreement stipulated with the EU. The new plan for the technological modernization of hospitals will therefore be postponed by two years, from 2024 we will move to 2026 e provides for the allocation of 1.19 billion to replace 3,133 large healthcare equipment with more than five years, such as CT scans, magnetic resonance imaging, linear accelerators, fixed radiological systems, angiographs, gamma cameras, gamma cameras/CT scans, mammographs, ultrasound scanners.
