The ECB has revised upwards the outlook on the GDP of the euro area in 2021 from + 4.6% previously expected to growth of + 5%. This is what the number one of the European central bank, Christine Lagarde, announced during the press conference following the announcement on rates.
For 2022, GDP is expected to rise by 4.6%, at a slower pace than the previous + 4.7%; the 2023 GDP estimates were left unchanged at the rate of 2.1%.
