After two months of hesitation, the US fast food giant McDonald’s has finally made a decision, announcing farewell to Russia. The giant of Corporate America had limited itself to suspending its operations in the country of Vladimir Putin, after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24th.

A little while ago the news, arrived via a press release:

“The humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and the unpredictable plunging of the operating environment have led McDonald’s to conclude that continued ownership of the business in Russia is no longer sustainable or consistent with McDonald’s values.”

McDonald’s, which has more than 800 restaurants and 62,000 employees in Russia, announced it is looking for a potential buyer.
