The new Pilot Sport 5 features a range of exclusive Michelin technologies, such as Dynamic Response, a hybrid layer of aramid and nylon under the tread designed to improve handling at high speeds, allowing the tire to resist centripetal forces and maintain a stable contact area with asphalt.
The tire is made using MaxTouch Construction technology, which improves pressure distribution in the contact area, increases the level of grip, especially when cornering, and also increases the life of the tire.
The summer tire features an asymmetrical tread design called Dual Sport and designed to improve traction and safety in a variety of weather conditions. The internal section features wide longitudinal channels to speed water drainage, while the rigid blocks in the external section improve handling in dry conditions.
The second novelty of the Michelin season is the Primacy 4+. The tire has kept the tread pattern of the previous model, but unlike the latter, a latest generation compound has been used. As with the Pilot Sport 5, also for Primacy 4+ Michelin has chosen to build it using MaxTouch technology for greater durability and a more stable footprint.
The new model can be distinguished by the plus sign on the side, but it is not next to the number four, as you might expect, but a little further down.
