The first taste of dividends arrives in Piazza Affari. The Milan Stock Exchange, fresh from a positive week that brought the Ftse Mib index back close to the top 2021, is preparing to restart the engines with some big names that will detach the dividend. It is the first important appointment with the detachment of the 2021 dividends with the highlight expected on 24 May 2021 how much of the blue chips in Piazza Affari will detach the coupon.
It should be remembered that this is the detachment of the dividend 2021, i.e. relating to the 2020 financial year. To collect the dividend, the share must be held at the close of the last business day before the ex-dividend date.

This year the banks return to detach the coupon, stopped in 2020 by the stop ECB. The ECB restrictions remain in part, with the recommendation to banks to limit the dividend to a maximum of 15% of cumulative profits between 2019 and 2020, without exceeding the ceiling of 20 basis points of Cet1 capital.

First time for Banco BPM

Among the six big names of the Ftse Mib, the most generous will be Banco BPM with a coupon of 0.06 euros, equal to a dividend yield del 2,52%. For the institute headed by Giuseppe Castagna, this is the first dividend since the group was founded in 2017 (merger between Banco Popolare and Banca Popolare di Milano).
Then there is Stellantis which will detach a coupon of € 0.32 per share, with a yield of 2.1%. In this case it is an extraordinary coupon equal to 1 billion euros as required by the Combination Agreement signed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot.
A detachment of the coupon will also be Unicredit (€ 0.12, yield of 1.41%). Less substantial dividends on the other hand for CNH Industrial (€ 0.11, yield of 0.82%), Campari (€ 0.055, yield of 0.55%) and Ferrari (€ 0.867, yield of 0.49%).
Outside the Ftse Mib, the full-bodied dividend of Mayor Tecnonimont (€ 0.116, yield 4.4%) and the dividend balance of Piaggio (0.026 euros) which had distributed the coupon deposit last November.
