The new Kia Sportage is shown in preview pending its debut on the market by the end of 2021. Now in its fifth generation, the Korean SUV shows a completely new style that follows the new stylistic course inaugurated by the electric EV6 and baptized Opposites United (join the opposites). No information has been released on the engines of the new Kia Sportage, where hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains are expected.

The new Kia Sportage shows the front called “Digital Tiger Face”, characterized by the large gray honeycomb and the new LED headlamps with an extremely sharp design. Moving on to the sides we find decisive and massive lines, while at the rear the offroad character is emphasized by the large lower extractor.

The interiors of the new Kia Sportage show the maxi screen that includes the instrumentation in front of the driver and the touchscreen from which to manage the infotainment system. From the icons on the published image you can see the connectivity level of the car, which is also able to connect with domestic devices. The round-shaped selector from which to set the gears of the automatic transmission makes its debut on the central tunnel, while in the lower part comes the adjustment of the driving modes
Kia Sportage, engines
For now Kia has not communicated the range of engines of the new Sportage but expects an offer similar to its cousin Hyundai Tucson. There will therefore be petrol and diesel mild hybrid units up to 180 horsepower, the 100% hybrid with 230 horsepower and the powerful 265 hp phev (plug-in hybrid) version. There will be no lack of choice between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
