News: Li Ka-shing sells mainland real estate projects again | Shanghai Century Plaza | The Epoch Times

[Epoch Times, September 18, 2021]The office building project of Shanghai Century Plaza under Cheung Kong Holdings was sold to Hysan Industrial, a Hong Kong real estate investment company. This is Li Ka-shing’s re-sale of mainland assets.

According to Reuters news on September 17th, on the 17th, Hysan Development announced that it would acquire the Century City Plaza office building project for 3.5 billion yuan, and would acquire all the equity of the target company from Cheung Kong. The latter is currently the project company (the property The registered owner of the company) is an indirect holder of 60% of the equity. The acquisition will only be implemented after the seller acquires the remaining 40% of the project company through an intermediary holding company. After the completion of the acquisition, Hysan will wholly own the property.

Cheung Kong stated that this property sale is part of the group’s daily sales business as a real estate company, and said that the group’s senior consultant Li Ka-shing and chairman Li Zeju are full of confidence in Hong Kong and the mainland.
