Patuanelli visits Confagricoltura companies in Abruzzo

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli was on a visit to Abruzzo in some realities of Confagricoltura. In addition to the local authorities, he was welcomed by the president of Confagricoltura Abruzzo Fabrizio Lobene and the president of the FAI – Federation of Italian beekeepers, Raffaele Cirone. The visit has in fact started by the Dolce Lavanda di Pescina beekeeping company, in the province of L’Aquila, 540 beehives in the Marsica, a multi-award-winning company in the main sector competitions. Abruzzo is a region with a long beekeeping tradition. In Marsica, in particular, the excellences are the honeys of Stregonia and Santoreggia. The minister then moved to the Primavera cooperative, specialized in the processing of vegetables, starting with carrots, which are processed in San Benedetto dei Marsi in the technologically advanced center, before being placed on the national and European market. The cooperative is a leader in the sector, with 16,000 tons of carrots and 3 tons of processed radicchio, celery and leeks. Inside the Fucino the characteristics of open field crops were illustrated by the F.lli Cambise company: 450 ha of vegetables and potatoes grown with innovative systems to ensure more sustainability and high quality. The meeting with Minister Patuanelli was for Confagricoltura “an important opportunity to illustrate a territory of importance for Italian agriculture and its products”.
