Petrol, the discount of 30 cents will be extended to 21 August

The 30 cent fuel discount is extended until August 21st. The Minister of Economy and Finance, Daniele Franco, and the Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani, signed the inter-ministerial decree extending the measures currently in force to reduce the final price of fuels until 21 August. The cut of 30 cents per liter for gasoline, diesel, LPG and methane for motor vehicles is thus extended up to that date.

“Too little! Birth of a mouse! The extension from 2 August to 21 August, less than 20 days, is completely inadequate and does not take into account the possible government crisis. For this reason this morning we asked, in unsuspected times, for an extension even until the end of the year, so as to guarantee the cut until the next executive takes office even in the worst case scenario ». This was stated in a note by the president of the National Consumers Union Massimiliano Dona, commenting on the extension decided by the government. “But between the end of the year and the extension until August 21st, a middle way had to be found”, concludes Dona.
