Four major special actions in Qinghai promote large-scale equipment updates and trade-in of consumer goods

In a recent development, the Qinghai Provincial Government has introduced the “Implementation Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Updates and Trade-in of Consumer Goods in Qinghai Province”. This initiative focuses on four major special actions namely, “equipment renewal, trade-in of consumer goods, recycling, and standard improvement” to advance the “double-new” work and achieve remarkable progress by 2027.
The implementation plan aims to increase the scale of equipment investment in key areas by more than 25% compared to the year 2023. It also targets to enhance the energy efficiency of major energy-consuming equipment in key industries and improve the environmental protection performance of production capacity. Additionally, the plan aims to boost the adoption of digital R&D and design tools in industrial enterprises above designated size, as well as increase the numerical control rate of key processes.
One of the key aspects of the plan is the focus on upgrading equipment in old communities to enhance the quality of life. This includes the renewal of old residential elevators and the installation of elevators in existing residences to meet the needs of aging residents. Moreover, the plan includes the replacement of transportation equipment such as new energy buses, city bus power batteries, and operational diesel trucks with outdated emission standards.
Furthermore, the plan encourages the trade-in of old home appliances for newer, more energy-efficient models. It also promotes the consumption of green smart home appliances and supports the renovation of old houses and home decoration.
Overall, the “Implementation Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Updates and Trade-in of Consumer Goods in Qinghai Province” aims to drive sustainable development, improve quality of life, and promote the adoption of modern technologies in various sectors.
