PALERMO – “The regional fund for credit to artisan enterprises (Crias), as an in-house subject of the Sicilian Region, has been recognized by Anac, the national anti-corruption authority and registered in the list of in-house providing companies”. This was announced by the regional councilor for productive activities, Mimmo Turano. “I thank the National Anti-Corruption Authority – affirms Turano – for the diligence shown in the recognition process of Crias, which comes at such a delicate juncture for the artisan world. This is a fundamental step that we have achieved thanks to teamwork with the structure of Crias and the Productive Activities Department and which will allow the Region to give Sicilian businesses that breath of vital oxygen to restart and avoid bankruptcy ».
Thanks to the recognition of the Anac, the Crias will be able to activate the fund for the recovery of artisans from Po-Fesr which has a financial endowment of 40 million and which is intended to support the recovery of the Sicilian artisan entrepreneurial fabric in difficulty due to the pandemic. The fund will make it possible to provide subsidized loans, equal to 80% of eligible investments (purchase of machinery and equipment for the production cycle, expenses for specialist training, laboratory renovation and maintenance, purchase of software and investments in marketing) and contributions to the fund lost within the limit of 20% of the loan granted, up to a maximum of 5 thousand euros. Non-repayable grants will also be disbursed, up to a maximum limit of 2 thousand euros, for the reimbursement of 100% of the expenses incurred for commissions and interest deriving from the granting of loans pursuant to the Sostegni bis Decree. In addition to the European funds that Crias will disburse with a specific call for proposals, there are also the former Artigiancassa funds that have been passed by the State to the Sicilian Region.
