A Santurce Citizen Reports Fraud After Contractor Allegedly Defrauds Him of $160,000

A citizen residing in Santurce has filed a fraud complaint after alleging that a contractor defrauded him of $160,000 for construction work on different properties.

The 43-year-old injured party claims that the contractor has failed to carry out the agreed work and has not provided evidence of purchasing the materials for the construction.

Following the complaint, the contractor reportedly returned $31,745.25 with a check that did not have funds.

The Property Crimes and Fraud Division of the CIC of San Juan is now leading the investigation into the alleged fraud.
