Saviola Group a 2 thousand euro bonus to employees against expensive life

A paycheck acknowledgment of up to 2 thousand euros for the employees of the Saviola Group, one of the leading Italian manufacturers of furniture panels, as a token of thanks for the commitment of its workers during 2021.

Two and reasons behind the decision, explains the president of the group, Alessandro Saviola: in part the award is linked to the performances achieved (the final figures for 2021 will only be available in a few weeks, but the president speaks of “positive” results), such as established by the second-level contract signed with the trade unions, it is partly an additional donation, arranged by the owners to support their employees in a time of high inflation, which sees the increase in energy and cost of living also weigh on families.

The measure will be introduced with the salary for the month of June and for the company – which has 1,500 employees – it translates into an allocation of approximately 3 million euros in total. The Saviola group, which in 2020 achieved a turnover of approximately 508 million euros, is among the largest wood recyclers in the world, has 14 production plants in Italy and abroad and is led by the parent company Saviola Holding, which includes four divisions: Saviola , Sadepan, Composad and Saviolife.

«This recognition was strongly desired by us to concretely thank each collaborator of the group for the professionalism and commitment shown in the months of 2021 – affirms Alessandro Saviola -. An award for the collaborators who make every single result possible every day ». The past few months have not been easy for anyone, notes the president. The company itself, although supported by a strong ferment demand, had to deal with strong increases in raw material prices, if not shortages, which forced production to slow down at certain times and also reduced profit margins. The inflationary chain generated by the supply crisis and aggravated by the war in Ukraine, which in the first phase had mainly affected manufacturing companies, is now also reaching consumers.

“The pandemic period has forced many families to deal with the difficulties of the moment – adds Saviola -. Encouraging inclusion and sharing, working for growth and development are objectives inherent in our group’s DNA. Our company lives and grows thanks to sustainable values that not only concern the production process, but embrace our doing business from an ESG perspective, in particular on social commitment, in line with the targets of sustainable development “.
