Romeo Giovannini from Savona, born in 2001, with 18 appearances in Modena, celebrated the promotion of the canaries to Serie B, thanks to the resounding victory (4-0) of the Modenese team at the “Braglia” stadium against Pontedera, winger, started very young to kick the ball in the Veloce and then move on to Savona where he played in the Giovanissimi Regionali and Allievi Regionali. With the biancoblù he won two regional titles, one for each category. Then he moved to Carpi, thanks to the good relations that the sporting director of Savona, Roberto Canepa had with the Modena team, where he had been manager. Giovannini played in Carpi for two seasons and then returned to Savona where he exploded thanks to the intuition of the coach De Paola, who had immediately believed in him giving him the opportunity to play in Serie D. His debut in the fourth series was against Seravezza, while his first goal in Serie D was scored in the derby against Vado.
Last year he made his debut in Serie C in the Carpi. Considered one of the best young people in the whole category and in the summer, after the failure of the red and white club, he decided to marry President Rivetti’s new Modena project. Too bad that, just when he was carving out an important space, he was stopped by an injury. Joined at the University of Economics and Commerce in Modena, Giovannini returns to his Savona when he can where, in addition to his parents and relatives, he has a lot of friends, who have now become his first fans. In 2018 Romeo Giovannini together with a team of friends, football fans like him, participated in the Scaletti di Lavagnola at the Savona Cup, organized by the Provincial Center Libertas Savona, with the Golden Fc team, a team made up of all 2001 players.
