According to the announcement, after August 11,Users will no longer be able to enter the LaTex function page in WPS, and if there is content generated by this function in the document, after the deactivation on the 11th, they will not be able to make any edits or modifications.

Therefore, if there is a need to use WPS for LaTex-related content replacement or adjustment, it must be completed before August 11.

For groups such as students and researchers who need to deal with papers,LaTex can almost be said to be a “thesis artifact”.

It is reported that LaTex is a high-quality typesetting system based on TeX, developed by American computer scientist Leslie Lambert, which is very suitable for generating high-quality printing-quality technical and mathematical and physical documents, especially good at complex tables and mathematical formulas typography.

Due to this characteristic,LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific literature, and is widely used in the editing of papers or submission to SCI journals.

In addition to LaTex, WPS will also disable functions such as teaching toolbox, knowledge check, music broadcast screen, screen graffiti, chemical drawing toolset, batch summary table and cross-end image transfer on August 11.
