“Strategic differences” – Editor-in-Chief Jonas Projer leaves “NZZ am Sonntag” – News – SRF

Content The editor-in-chief of “NZZ am Sonntag”, Jonas Projer, vacates his post. As the media office of the “NZZ” announced, Projer is leaving because of “strategic differences”.
Projer will continue to work for the NZZ until the end of August. According to the media release, the separation will take place by “mutual agreement”. Isabelle Welton, President of the NZZ Board of Directors, is quoted as saying that Projer has taken important steps to transfer the newspaper to the next digital phase.
One successor and three successors ad interim
His successor has not yet been decided. Four journalists are taking over the management ad interim: Anja Burri, Daniel Foppa, Christoph Zürcher and Thomas Stamm.
Projer had only been editor-in-chief of “NZZ am Sonntag” since May 2021. He is leaving the newspaper with regret, but also gratitude, he was quoted as saying in a statement.
Before his detour to “NZZ am Sonntag”, Projer worked for Ringier as editor-in-chief of Blick TV. He had switched to this position from SRF, where he had worked between 2006 and 2019.
