Starting this year, Teresa Gutiérrez will take the position of country manager, this news was confirmed by the engineer through her LinkedIn account.

“My goal is to contribute to TESLA’s mission of creating a greener Latin America,” explained Teresa Gutiérrez on her LinkedIn account.

Who is Teresa Gutierrez, the new CEO of Tesla Mexico?

Teresa Gutiérrez Smith, a Chemical Engineer, has more than 20 years of experience in the e-commerce, logistics, and marketing sector. She is known around the world as “Terry.”

Over the years, she has worked for international companies such as Rappi, Mattel, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, as well as Mckinsey.

Before becoming the new CEO of Tesla, Teres Gutiérrez worked as General Manager at Rappi, a delivery company, where she lasted about a year and a half, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Teres Gutiérrez’s arrival at Tesla is decisive

According to the Universidad Iberoamericana portal, the arrival of Teres Gutiérrez Smith at Tesla México is decisive, because at the beginning of this year, the construction of the electronic vehicle megaplata in Nuevo León will begin, which has an investment of 5 billion dollars (mdd).

Tesla México has a land of around 1,600 hectares, located in the municipality of Santa Clara.

Tesla Mexico is expected to generate around 7,000 direct jobs and produce one million electric cars per year.

The Strategic Projects Trust of the Government of Nuevo León already has planned the construction of four road works to connect with the Tesla megaplant on the Monterrey-Saltillo highway.
