Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 10 – The upcoming 7th Digital China Construction Summit, to be held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province from May 24th to 25th, has released positive signals for China’s advancement towards becoming a digital power. At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the 10th, key details about the summit were shared, highlighting the preparations being made and the progress being achieved in the construction of Digital China.

During the conference, Liu Liehong, Director of the National Data Administration, Guo Ningning, Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Lin Wenbin, Vice Governor of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, provided insights into the upcoming summit. Liu Liehong emphasized that this year’s summit, themed “releasing the value of data elements and developing new productive forces,” comes at a crucial time following the optimization of the national data work system.

Lin Wenbin, the Deputy Governor of Fujian Province, shared that the summit will see the participation of over 400 experts, scholars, and representatives from leading digital economy companies. The event will showcase a 56,000-square-meter experience area featuring 362 digital economy projects to be signed, with a total investment of 186.1 billion yuan. The summit aims to focus on professional authority, service enterprises, digital experience, and dialogue and exchanges, with an increased emphasis on the role of the business community.

Guo Ningning highlighted the efforts being made to make the summit more relevant to the public, including innovative digital events, creating digital streets, and enriching digital cultural tourism experiences. With 12 tracks set up for digital innovation competitions and the integration of digital application scenes with historical and cultural landmarks, the summit aims to engage visitors through immersive digital empowerment experiences.

As the Digital China Construction Summit continues to drive the country’s transformation into a digital power, efforts are being made to promote the utilization and development of data elements, as outlined in the three-year action plan released by the National Data Administration.
