The luxury hotel industry is preparing the relaunch

by admin

In January of a year ago, just before Covid began to rage, an international study (Italy Hotel Investment Report) said that in 2019 there had been 3.3 billion euros invested in hotels in Italy, with a marked preference (42 % of the total, ie 1.25 billion euros) for luxury hotels; and from 2011 to 2020 a total of € 11 billion was invested in the sector by Italy, 38% of which focused on iconic luxury names. In the hotel industry, something similar to civil air transport is valid, where large numbers are made with “low as well” tickets and with Economy class, but the added value derives above all from Business and Prima, so it is not strange that in hotels the investment in luxury obtains a share that (at first glance) may appear disproportionate.

This is true both in physiology and in pathology. After 2019, the last normal year, the 2020 of the pandemic tragedy has come, which almost killed tourism in the world, and even 2021 is not a better start, but there is a difference: now we see a light in the horizon thanks to vaccines, and the big names are ready for the relaunch that everyone hopes for; a new flow of investments testifies to the renewed confidence in the sector.

Among the top names is the Eitch Borromini accommodation facility in Piazza Navona in Rome, located in the seventeenth-century Palazzo Pamphilj, opposite the Fountain of the Rivers. In the last twelve months, the structure has been equipped with additional health and safety precautions, and from the point of view of rates it also offers several special packages valid in April and May.

The building that houses Eitch Borromini has the entrance on via di Santa Maria dell’Anima and borders the sacristy of the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. It is spread over six floors (the structure occupies the part from the second floor onwards) and ends with a terrace overlooking one of the most beautiful views of Rome. The original spiral staircase by Borromini is still accessible and a series of passages and secret places can still be visited. For travelers on vacation, the structure is a starting point to reach on foot all the most important destinations in the historic center of Rome for art, shopping and business meetings.
