“Measures taken to help workers return to work early after holiday”
The Spring Festival holiday has come to an end, and various departments across the country have implemented multiple measures to assist workers in returning to work and companies in restarting operations. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security reported that a total of 18,000 recruitment activities have been organized, with 10 million positions announced and 100,000 workers transported as of February 17.
Yun Donglai, deputy director of the Employment Promotion Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, indicated that approximately 30 million jobs are expected to be created during the “Spring Breeze Action” event. This year, the event features a combination of online and offline recruitment methods to provide accessible employment services to the public.
In Zhejiang, the proportion of private investment in major projects has reached a new high. The province has initiated 333 “thousand-billion” projects across 11 cities, with 87 industrial projects led by private enterprises, amounting to a total investment of 181.3 billion yuan, reflecting a significant increase in private sector involvement.
Jiangsu has seen a comprehensive resumption of work and production post-holiday. One foreign-funded power battery company in the province has observed a surge in orders due to the increasing demand for electric vehicles. Zhang Yang, deputy director of the Economic Development Bureau of Yancheng City Economic Development Zone, reported that more than 97% of companies had resumed production as of February 19, with a notable increase in real-time invoicing sales, especially in the “three new items” sector.
Meanwhile, Guangxi has achieved a “good start” for foreign trade by implementing measures to ensure smooth customs clearance during the holiday. By issuing customs clearance announcements in advance and adding “green channels” for fresh products, the region experienced a more than 8% year-on-year increase in foreign trade import and export, setting a new high for the same period in previous years.
These initiatives aim to facilitate a smooth transition back to work and boost economic activities following the end of the Spring Festival holiday.
