Stock Market Update: U.S. Stock Indexes Experience Mixed Results
According to a report from Securities Times, the three major U.S. stock indexes had mixed gains and losses on February 27. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.25% to 38,972.41 points, while the S&P 500 Index saw a 0.17% increase to 5,078.18 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index also rose by 0.37% to 16,035.30 points.
Tech stocks were a mixed bag, with most large technology companies seeing gains. Netflix rose by over 2%, while Meta and AMD saw increases of over 1%. Google A and Apple also experienced nearly 1% gains, with Tesla rising slightly. However, Nvidia and Amazon saw slight decreases, while Microsoft fell slightly.
In other news, the U.S. stock price of artificial meat company Beyond Meat surged over 100% after hours, following the company’s fourth-quarter net revenue surpassing expectations.
Chinese concept stocks also saw positive movement, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rising by 2.10%. Companies such as Gaotu, Li Auto, NetEase, iQiyi, and Weibo all saw significant gains. On the other hand, Ctrip experienced a decrease of over 3%, and Tencent Music fell slightly.
