In Togo, cereal production has seen steady growth every year for the past five years.

Data from the Central Bank of West African States (Bceao), processed by TogoFirst, indicate an evolution from 1.26 million tonnes for the 2019-2020 agricultural campaign to 1.5 million tonnes in 2023

In Togo, the main cultivated cereal is corn, planted from north to south, followed by paddy rice and then by the millet-sorghum pair. National cereal production is mainly intended for internal consumption.
