Two well-known Limburg printing companies are merging: Haletra-Leën (Companies)

A small earthquake in the Limburg printing landscape. The well-known Haletra printing companies of the Paredis family in Houthalen-Helchteren and the Hasselt printing collective Chapo (Leën family) are joining forces. The new combination has 60 employees.

The two well-known printing companies each have a long history behind them. Printing company Haletra, owned by father Werner and son Dieter Paredis, has a heritage and craftsmanship dating back 75 years. Printing company Chapo of the Leën family, itself a merger of the former printing companies Leën from Hasselt and ProFeeling from Beringen, has been a pillar in the Limburg printing sector for more than 130 years. From now on, the two will go through life together as Drukkerij Haletra-Leën.

“We had been talking about a close collaboration for a while,” says Stijn Leën of Chapo. “In recent months it has become increasingly clear that we share values ​​and a vision for the future.” Werner and Dieter Paredis now transfer the company and management to Stijn Leën, Werner Paredis remains active as director of the new company. Six members of the Leën family will also remain active in the merged company.

All printing activities are centralized in Haletra’s modern facilities at Grote Baan in Houthalen, where a total of 60 employees will produce high-quality graphic products day and night. Chapo’s branch in Hasselt remains available for sales and advice.

“The Haletra-Leën combination profiles itself as a one-stop-shop for a wide range of graphic products, with ultra-modern machinery to supply all sheet-fed printing, both offset and digital,” says Werner Paredis. But large formats such as banners, displays, stickers, lettering and exhibition stands are also possible. The new printing group focuses on companies, organizations and governments throughout the country, and beyond. (dc)
