Volkswagen ID.5 GTX will be officially unveiled on November 3, or similar to ID.4 GTX

by admin

Recently, Volkswagen stated on social media that the ID.5 GTX will be released on November 3, and this will also be the first show of the ID.5 series. At the IAA exhibition held in Munich in September this year, Volkswagen had shown a concept car version of the ID.5 GTX. At that time, the body was painted with red and yellow stripes to show its positioning of a sports high-performance model.

The ID.5 GTX was recently tested on the Nürburgring track. At that time, there was almost no camouflage on the test body, only a very “alternative” grille in the middle of the front face. From the overall styling point of view, this new car is still based on a pure electric SUV, using the ID. series family design language, and the Coupe coupe design at the rear is the most eye-catching part.

In terms of power, although Volkswagen has not officially disclosed the performance parameters of ID.5 GTX, we can refer to the ID.4 GTX that has been officially launched before. The latter’s power system has a maximum output of 220kW and a peak torque of 310Nm. The acceleration time of its high-performance version 0-97km/h only needs 6s.

Judging from the appearance sequence of the ID.5 series this time, the positioning of this model may be focused on sports and high performance, and the GTX version may be its main model. On the other hand, judging from two consecutive GTX versions, it will become the exclusive code name for the crossover high-performance version of the Volkswagen ID. series and even the brand’s pure electric models.
