The most powerful Bulli ever built arrives. It’s electric and called ID.Buzz GTX. Thus Vw expands the range of “peppery” cars. With two electric motors for a total of 340 hp it is credited with sporting performance: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, while the speed is self-limited to 160 km/h. Two different battery sizes are foreseen: the 79 kWh version, the same available on the ID.3 GTX and the 86 kWh version on board the ID.7 GTX Tourer. Finally, the traction is the integral 4Motion.
The GTX-specific front style
The specific design of the new ID.Buzz is concentrated in a front section characterized by new dynamic details. Matrix LED headlights and new 19-inch alloy wheels are also standard, while 21-inch black wheels are available as an option. Exclusively, the new ID.Buzz GTX is offered in a brighter shade and red or in a more serious two-tone grey.
Interiors capable of offering 5 to 7 seats
The interiors have also been revised and now align with the sportier vocation of the GTX. Seats capable of combining comfort with containment are available. Furthermore, a dual habitability configuration with both 5 and 7 seats is envisaged. As for the trunk, in the normal version the capacity is between 1,121 and 2,123 liters, but in the long wheelbase version the basic capacity reaches 1,350 liters to reach 2,460 liters.
Integration with artificial intelligence
The sensation of spaciousness inside is also guaranteed by the Smart Glass panoramic roof which can be automatically switched between transparent and opaque. The hi-tech equipment includes a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, and a head-up display and a voice assistant are also available which includes integration with ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence to obtain more detailed responses to driving.
A load capacity of up to 1,800 litres
The package of driving assistance systems is complete and includes Park Assist Plus complete with Remote function to ensure remote parking via smartphone. In addition, another useful system is Exit Assist which manages the opening of the doors in the event of immediate danger. The towing capacity of the ID.Buzz GTX is 1,800 liters with the normal wheelbase, while for the long wheelbase variant it is 1,600 liters.
