Wall Street: US futures under pressure, waiting for meeting between Biden and Congress leader

Wall Street restarts after yesterday’s positive session, pending the meeting between US President Joe Biden and the leaders of the US Congress, aimed at finding an agreement to raise the ceiling on the US debt.

In yesterday’s session, the S&P 500 rose 0.3% to 4,136.28, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 47.98 points, or +0.14%, to 33,348.60.

The Nasdaq Composite outperformed, up 0.66% to 12,365.21.

Futures on the main US stock indexes are under pressure.

At around 6.30 am, Italian time, futures on the Dow Jones lose 0.23%; S&P 500 futures are down 0.21%. Nasdaq futures slip 0.06%.
