Will we be replaced? How should we plan our careers?

Thereā€™s no one who knows exactly whatā€™s coming, and I certainly donā€™t know. But it stands to reason: memorizing knowledge will become less important in the future, firstly because information will be constantly available everywhere and secondly: because artificial intelligence can research it itself and interpret it (even if initially in a somewhat limited way) in order to derive conclusions and decisions from it.

This also represents a huge opportunity for us. We can concentrate on what makes us strong: our curiosity and creativity. In my opinion, both have been neglected in schools and universities in the past. We would rather teach our children to read ā€œThe Trialā€ by Franz Kafka like a textbook using all recognized interpretive approaches, from psychological to historical, rather than giving them the courage to write Kafkaesque themselves.
