The Russian Ministry of Economic Development is discussing the opening of direct flights between Zimbabwe and Namibia. Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Russian Tour Operators (Ator), said this yesterday in an interview with Ria Novosti.
“The Ministry of Economic Development is actively negotiating to open direct flights with several countries. Since the beginning of the year, plans have been made several times for the possible launch of flights to Zimbabwe, Namibia and some South American countries. There were also plans to organize charters to North Korea. But it is difficult to say exactly which of these will actually come to life,” Lomidze said.
