With the theme of “Sounds in Chengdu, Music in the Four Seas”, next to the iconic public art “Selfie Panda” created by Dujiangyan, young artists from 7 countries and regions including the United States, Venezuela, and Ukraine danced , The way of music connects the five continents, with music to meet friends, and narrate friendship together. College bands and young musicians from Dujiangyan will also bring wonderful performances to present a feast of music for the audience. From Dujiangyan City’s friendly cooperative relationship city Gwangju Metropolitan City, South Korea sent a blessing video, and children from the Mine Chorus of Salesio Elementary School in South Korea also brought a wonderful online performance.
It is understood that the “2021 Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Week Dujiangyan Branch” is co-sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government and Dujiangyan Municipal People’s Government and undertaken by the Dujiangyan Municipal People’s Government Foreign Affairs Office. It is the most important Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Week 2021. One of the sub-venues of, demonstrated the unique urban cultural charm and good city image, and received enthusiastic responses from international sister cities and citizens.
It is reported that Chengdu International Sister Cities Music Week was founded in 2007 and has gone through 15 years of development. The Dujiangyan branch venue has been held for the 7th consecutive year and is the most frequently held branch venue event in a row. Dujiangyan City has 21 national-level cultural tourism resources. The unique cultural tourism resources are the golden signboard of Dujiangyan going to the world. With the expansion of the international “circle of friends”, Dujiangyan has joined 6 international organizations including the World Historical Cities Alliance (LHC), and has cooperated with Austria, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Italy, Finland, Switzerland, Thailand and other countries. Of the 25 cities have become international sister cities or cities with international friendship and cooperation relations.
