Veterinarian Marcelo Calle will be the new Secretary of Livestock of the Province. The current president of the College of Veterinary Doctors of Córdoba will replace Catalina Boetto, who resigned from the position, as announced by the Minister of Bioagroindustry, Sergio Busso.
Due to the functions he still has in the professional association, whose term ends on April 30, Calle will take over the Bioagoindustria portfolio starting in May.
“After many consultations and evaluating several candidates, Calle’s election points to a continuity of the livestock policy that the Province has been carrying out,” Busso highlighted.
Calle is a veterinary doctor specialized in small animals and has an extensive private career and within the framework of the professional association.
After highlighting Boetto’s performance as head of the secretariat, Busso anticipated that the agronomist engineer will be his advisor on livestock matters.
New advisory board
Given the impossibility of launching the Agro Córdoba Agency, due to the fact that the decree of necessity and urgency (DNU) of the national government prohibits mixed economy companies, the Ministry of Bioagroindustry will create an advisory council with exclusive jurisdiction in the Agricultural Development Trust (FDA), as anticipated by Minister Busso.
“It will be made up of representatives of rural entities,” added Busso.
The three people who will make up the council, which will be announced in the coming days, are Vanesa Padullés, head of the Provincial Council of Coninagro; Gabriel De Raedemaeker, member of the Mesa de Enlace Córdoba Foundation, and Sebastián Laborde, of the Association of Vicuña Mackena Producers, and member of Cartez.
The Agro Córdoba Agency was created by provincial law to execute all actions aimed at fulfilling the purpose provided for in FDA.
However, the entry into force of the DNU made its implementation impossible.
