TORTONA. Assaggia Tortona, the flagship event of Tortona’s food and wine, is divided into three and becomes a traveling event in three stages for the tourist promotion of the area: at the beginning of May in Gavi, the last weekend of May in Tortona and in December in Novi Ligure .
The initiative is part of the collaboration agreement for the organization and promotion of events, signed in February by the three municipalities. The respective administrators have already met to study the program and a path that involves territories, producers, paths and unites their respective cultural and sporting heritages that have many common points of interest, including museums and initiatives that revolve around the Campionissimo. “The territorial promotion project with Gavi and Novi has started – says the deputy mayor with delegation to Culture and Tourism, Fabio Morreale – and what better opportunity to start this path than with the event that has been the showcase of excellence for Tortona for 25 years ? We have shared our format within other important events of the two partner Municipalities which will thus have the opportunity to promote their typical products and peculiarities. In addition to the food and wine excellences, the cultural, hiking and sports heritage will also be involved in an area that was the stronghold of Fausto Coppi ».
Tortona is also part of the agreement between the seven municipalities in the province and Alexala for the creation of “Aperto for culture”, with theatrical, artistic and musical performances. In addition to AssaggiaTortona, the “Estate d’istanti” review will be re-proposed in the courtyard of the Annunziata, involving all the realities of last year, from Piemonte dal Vivo to Arena Derthona, from the Perosi Festival to Through Festival, to the Sarina Association, to the Music academy and others. Santa Croce will also be celebrated in a more traditional way, always paying attention to the government’s provisions on the management of the health emergency.
