[Epoch Times December 31, 2021](The Epoch Times reporter Zeng Weixin compiled a report) Today (31st), the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation of Korea stated that the popular Korean boy group BTS (BTS) member j-hope ( Jung Ho Suk) donated 100 million won (approximately NT$2.55 million/US$91,000) to help disadvantaged children at home and abroad.

Regarding the opportunity to donate, j-hope stated that due to the economic downturn caused by the impact of the epidemic, he is worried that children will encounter cold and lonely pain at the end of the year under such difficult circumstances, so he hopes that this donation can help the children to get through warm winter.

The beneficiary disclosed that j-hope’s donation this time will be used to help low-income families and children in kindergartens to pay for heating, and to pay for medical expenses for sick children.

The president of South Korea’s Green Umbrella Children’s Fund said that the celebrities’ kind deeds have raised the society’s concern for disadvantaged children at home and abroad who are in difficulties. For this reason, we must once again offer kind deeds to everyone who brings warmth to the children at the end of the year. Thanks.

j-hope became a member of the Green Noble Club, a high-end donor club in the Green Umbrella Children’s Fund in 2018. The club is made up of donors who have donated more than 100 million won in five years. j-hope has donated 150 million won in the past to nurture talents and treat sick children, and the accumulated donation amount of individuals has exceeded 800 million won.
