Beloved Actor Victor Pinales Dies at 59 After Battle with Illness

The prominent actor Victor Pinales died in the early hours of today due to respiratory arrest in the intensive care unit of the Plaza de la Salud General Hospital. Pinales had been intubated yesterday after developing pneumonia which affected his lungs, causing other complications in his deteriorating health. He was 59 years old.

The information was provided to Free Diary by his friend, the theater producer Juancito Rodriguez, who confirmed the news of Pinales’ passing. “I regret to inform you that our friend Victor Pinales died today at one in the morning, as confirmed by one of his siblings. We have lost a great human being. A person I treated and knew for many years,” Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez also expressed that the theater community was mourning the departure of Pinales. “Arrangements are currently being made for the wake and later the details of the funeral honors,” he pointed out. Pinales had five siblings, two of whom reside in the United States.

Since the news of his entry to the Plaza de la Salud General Hospital, friends and members of the artistic community began a day of prayer for his speedy recovery. Pinales received dialysis in the hospital and worked for the Telemicro Group. It is unknown if the actor had any children.

Víctor Pinales had actress Karina Noble as his partner. At the time of his death, they were separated. The actor took on starring roles in theater, film, and television. He participated in various programs and acted in several films. His performance was recognized by the Association of Art Chroniclers at the Casandra Awards.
