The cult death/grinders BENIGHTED deliver “Scars”, the first single from their upcoming work “Ekbom”, which will be released via Season Of mist.
BENIGHTED are ready to unleash the macabre as they announce their new album Ekbom. This new studio album is brimming with brutality and tells a story of psychological horror. The album is a reference to delusional parasitosis, a syndrome in which people have a persistent belief that they are infested with insects and bugs just beneath their skin.
A syndrome that is aptly portrayed in the first single Scars. The song starts straight away with ultra-fast riffs and Julien Truchan’s characteristic pig squeal. Not only is Scars rhythmically impressive, but it also showcases BENIGHTED’s ability to combine their blunt style with clever drum breaks and harmonic passages. Creepy, gruesome and absolutely brutal – the band is ready to melt faces once again.
The album was recorded at the famous Kohlkeller Studio in Germany. The studio and its sound engineer Kristian Kohlmannslehner are known for recording bands like Powerwolf and Aborted and give Ekbom a perfect sound.

Ekbom was released on April 12th by Season of Mist.
BENIGHTED will be on the Hellfest Warm-up Tour in April, bringing their distinctive brutal death metal sound to stages across France. They bring Ten56. to all of these dates and will be supported on some dates by Rise of the North Star, Stinky & KAMIZOL K.
