MIAMI.- Camilo revealed that his wife, the singer Evaluna Montaner —who is close to giving birth to her second son who will be called Amaranto— suffered a fall in the recording studio while rocking his first-born daughter, Indigo.
The information was made public in his participation in the podcast 40 glasses by Roberto Cardona, during a visit to Colombia prior to starting his tour of Europe.
Camilo pointed out that the family was in his creative workshop (the name by which he refers to the studio). Evaluna and the little girl were sitting in a hammock swinging, while he worked on a meeting. But suddenly he remembered that he heard a sound against the concrete.
“What a moment that moment was; that moment was strong, it was a scary moment,” Camilo said.
The accident
She explained that the Venezuelan usually puts Indigo to sleep in a hammock or rocking chair, but that they did not expect the incident to occur.
“My daughter crying, I turned around and ran; I tripped over everything and my wife was on the floor with Indigo (in her arms) and her big belly; I saw her all dark, I said ‘Those are the moments that are idiots, but they could be one thing’… I see my wife and she is crying, but in silence, kind of scared,” he added.
Tutu’s interpreter explained that the scene mortified him and he felt guilty because he had installed the hammocks and thought they were securely fastened.
“The world came crashing down on me,” he said.
However, beyond the scare, both Evaluna, Índigo and Amaranto are in perfect condition and the entire family is preparing to receive their new member.
