More than a hundred people have already booked for the specialist conference “Porcelain and glass through the Silk Road” which will be held on Wednesday 1 December at the Astiss university campus. The initiative is from Magmax, organized with the “Rita Levi Montalcini” university center, Turin Polytechnic, and the Uzbek university TTPU that the Piedmontese university helped to create.
The proceedings will open at 9.30 and will include the contributions of seven speakers: the rector Guido Saracco («The Polytechnic of Turin and the TTPU of Tashkent»), the doctor Antonella Alotto and professor Andrea De Marchi (“The Silk Road: history, culture and economy”), Francesco Scalfari, director of Uni-Astiss («Anthropological aspects of the Silk Road»), e Massimo Umberto Tomalino, creator of Magmax («History of porcelain and glass»), professor Dilshat Tulyaganov, director of the TTPU Science Department (“Manufacture of porcelain, glass and glass ceramics”), and the professor of the Polytechnic of Turin Francesco Baino («High-tech applications of glass»).
The interventions will have an informative character and are aimed at everyone with a particular focus on high schools. There are still seats available (the Green Pass is required for access to the hall): reservation at [email protected]
