New York artist Daniel Arsham debuts first photography exhibition “Phases” at Fotografiska
Renowned artist Daniel Arsham, best known for his innovative eroding “ruin” sculptures, has expanded his creative repertoire with his first photography exhibition titled “Phases”. The exhibition, which showcases 20 years of Arsham’s photography work, features a diverse collection of photographs in various styles and tones.
Most of the photographs on display are presented in black and white, with a few exceptions that feature unique tones of blue and gray. The exhibition includes landscape photos captured in iconic cities like Los Angeles and New York, a striking self-portrait taken in a London hotel room, and portraits of cultural figures such as A$AP Rocky and Virgil Abloh.
In addition to his photography work, the exhibition also features some of Arsham’s signature sculptures, including pieces like “The Hour Glass” and “Hollow Figure”. The eclectic mix of photography and sculpture gives viewers a comprehensive look at Arsham’s artistic evolution over the past two decades.
