Davines Group was named B Corp Best for the World 2022 for the positive impact in the Environment area. Best for the World is a primacy recognized by B Lab to certified B Corps, whose scores obtained for the five impact areas of the B Impact Assessment – community, customers, environment, governance and people – fall within 5% of the best scores of all the B Corps of the same size.
The Parma group has obtained this recognition thanks to initiatives such as carbon neutrality achieved in all its offices around the world, the increase in the percentage of recycled materials or materials from alternative sources to fossil sources in the packaging portfolio and the majority use, in its formulas, of highly biodegradable ingredients: in 5 years Davines has increased the biodegradability of the formulas by 11.5%, which has led to less bio-accumulation and greater protection of the planet.
Recently the company also presented “We Sustain Beauty”, its first global socio-environmental initiative that takes actions for the climate through the protection of biodiversity and regenerative organic agriculture.
To further increase its commitment to socio-environmental initiatives, the group will donate € 50,000 to two organizations that support regenerative organic agriculture and increased biodiversity respectively: the Rodale Institute, a pioneer in the regenerative biological movement, and the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, which protects food biodiversity around the world.
