ROME – DR Automobiles continues its growth also in 2023. With 2,653 cars in December (+22% on the same month 2022) the group (which includes the brands DR, Evo, Sportequipe, year with 32,657 total registrations (24,481 in 2022). Furthermore, three of its models are present in the top 10 of LPG cars: DR 4.0, fifth, with 7,758 units, DR 5.0, sixth, with 7,293 units and DR 6.0 which closes the ranking with 4,567 units. It is no coincidence that 82% of the Molise Group’s total registrations are represented by bi-fuel petrol/LPG models to the full advantage of more sustainable mobility, a contribution destined to grow thanks to the DR 1.0 EV electric city car which will benefit from the new incentives state. The 1,881 registrations in the N1 category must also be added to the sales calculation, especially pick-ups (DR PK8 and Evo Cross4), for a total of 34,532 registrations on the Italian market.

“One of the most important aspects of the 2023 data – they underline at the headquarters – is certainly having increased, through a strategic choice that limited fleets and rental, penetration on the home retail market, through 29,833 cars (+106% compared to 14,499 in 2022) out of the 32,657 sold overall. In November and December the share recorded in this channel was 3.39% and 3.41% respectively. Over the entire year, of the total retail in Italy, the DR group’s market share rose to 2.86%”.

But the Macchia d’Isernia factory is not satisfied with the flattering results obtained in Italy and is also focusing on foreign markets, in particular on Spain which is destined to become, after the domestic one, the second most important place. Adding the sales made abroad, the total registrations of the DR Automobiles group reaches 36,193 units, recording an overall weighted growth of 78%, while the turnover increased by 52%, going from 458 million in 2022 to around 700 in 2023.

Strengthened by these results, the house of owner Di Risio is aiming to expand the range with the arrival of new models for the current four brands and above all on the launch of new brands that will have dedicated sales networks.
