The economic crisis in Argentina and the current international conflicts were part of the “cordial” conversations that President Javier Milei held this Monday in the Vatican with Pope Francis and the Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, according to the Holy See.
“This morning, the Holy Father Francis received in audience at the Apostolic Palace the President of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency. Mr. Javier Gerardo Milei, who successively met with HE Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State for His Holiness, accompanied by HE Bishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations”; says the official statement from the Holy See.
And he continues: “During the cordial conversations at the Secretariat of State, satisfaction was expressed for the good relations between the Holy See and the Argentine Republic and the desire to strengthen them even further. “Next, they stopped at the new Government’s program to confront the economic crisis.”
“In the continuation of the conversation, several international issues were addressed, particularly current conflicts and the commitment to peace between nations,” the text concludes.
